15.11.2004 - Post-production begins.

14.10.2004 - Aerial Photography. The landscape of the Gallipoli peninsula was captured by a helicopter mounted with the WESCAM.

04.09.2004 - 01.10.2004 - Main Production in Gallipoli. A production team of 40 travelled to Gallipoli and Chanakkale for the main shoot. Scenics and interviews were shot on the first week and the crew began shooting the reenactments on the second week. The landings and trench life of the soldiers were recreated on specially built sets on the Channakkale side. More than 90 extras took part in the dramatic renenactments. Special effects experts rigged the sets with explosives for scenes depicting shell fire and explosions in the trench. Almost all seasons including snow were recreated in the trenches.

26.07.2004 - 14.08.2004 - Production in Australia and New Zealand has been completed. A crew of six traveled to these countries for archival and museum photography and interviews. Families of Bill Leadley, Percival Fenwick, and George Bollinger and experts were interviewed on camera for the film. The research team also finalized its work in the Australian War Memorial, which gave the film immense support in all departments.

26.05.2004 - The first stage of the shootings of the project began in April 2004. Three film crews were organized in three different countries; New Zealand, Australia and Turkey to shoot the ceremonies on location. The second stage of the shootings is scheduled to begin in July in Australia, New Zealand. In September, 2004 the reenactment and main shooting will take place in Gallipoli and a stage in Istanbul. Shooting in England and Germany will follow in October.

26.05.2004 - The script of the project is being advised and checked by the best experts in their field: Ashley Ekins and Peter Stanley from the Australian War Memorial, Peter Hart and Nigel Steel from the Imperial War Museum, and Christopher Pugsley from New Zealand are consulting on the project. Over two hundred soldier diaries and books have been collected and examined. A historically accurate sample Anzac uniform has been prepared by Brad Manera from the Australian War Memorial. A British uniform will be prepared under the supervision of Laurie Milner from the Imperial War Museum.

26.05.2004 - As a companion to the film, an illustrated history book on Gallipoli based on the expanded version of the film's script is being prepared. The book will incorporate many photographs, illustrations, letters, maps, and sketches from both sides.
